thanksgiving 2013

isn't thanksgiving the yummy-scrummiest?  such a good day.  easily one of my top three holidays.  hubby and i woke up a tad early so that i could squeeze in a dreamy morning run before a quick yoga session together...gotta stretch and make some extra space for all that tasty goodness, right? the whole family met up for the big meal.  and it was grand.  the glorious bird and all the trimmings.  and on such a lovely tablescape.  candles and outdoorsyness plus lots of heirloom silver.  we listened to Christmas music while the feast was prepared and we even got in some parade and dog show... plus a bit of Elinor reading time on the floor with papa.

after the big meal, we took a quick stroll outside before adding a few more family members to the mix for some pie.  oh, pie.  a housefull of people with plenty of interesting conversations, bursts of laughter, and full bellies.  the stuff that holidays are made of.
