le bump / 30 weeks

30weeks.JPG

um, THIRTY weeks. that feels big.

progress & countdown: 30 weeks down & 67 days to go! that’s suuuuuuper close to the 2 month mark!!!

baby size: a cabbage.

food & drink: sandwiches. loving sandwiches right now. ben makes a killer sandwich and we have one a week. it’s the best. that’s all. everything else is pretty boring and normal. and yes, i am counting a sandwich as a craving so i get points for being a fun pregnant lady. i am usually a total disappointment to ben when it comes to cravings and fun foods…

bump stuff: i feel like the belly button might pop out this time! wouldn’t that be fun. the third pregnancy doesn’t mess around and i feel like a solid belly button pop would fit.

highs: elinor talking to albie at bedtime and messing with him to make him kick and punch in response. she gets such delight out of it. and ridley reminds me to “say goodnight to my brother albert” every night as i shut his bedroom door. it’s the cutest. let the sibling bonding begin!

lows: i bumped the bump into the counter the other day while doing dishes. sigh.

new developments: head to toe, baby is almost 16 inches long and weighs about 3 pounds. baby is still flipping and floating in plenty of fluid but the major growth will start to make things more squished.

meaningful moments & hormones & feelings: grateful that we get to do this again. happy that we have reached the 30 week mark… that feels like some kind of safety net. hoping he arrives a few days early so we get to meet him in april. reading and refreshing on all things birth and repeating my affirmations to stay steady and confident. eager to meet him!

superficial stuff: just… feeling super pregnant.

looking forward to: getting to the 37 week mark so the REAL countdown can begin.
