fourth of july firecrackers
happy fourth of july! we hope you had a lovely holiday with all the food, fun, festivities, and firecrackers. we spent the better part of the day in sedona. meandering and sightseeing and people watching and enjoying some lunch at saltrock kitchen. it wasn't as long as it should have been but no matter how brief a jaunt, sedona is always good to us. plus the car ride music / chats / coffee never fail to make the trip worth it. i love that time. no distractions. just winding roads and beautiful scenery and good conversation.
the evening was spent enjoying an easy-peasy dinner at home and of course some postprandial fireworks. well, firecrackers in the backyard before bedtime. and we were ready for bedtime. it was the very best kind of full day. we sure had a blast celebrating america's birthday. we are grateful to live in the land of the free and home of the brave. grateful for freedom. grateful for family. grateful for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. grateful for this life of ours.
God Bless America.
p.s. would you look at our KIDS! i mean, they are looking like full-blown kids now, right? yikes. time if freaking flying. speaking of time, here are a few from independence days past: 2015, 2014, 2013
